1931 Born in Tokyo.
1956 Graduated from Chiba University, City Planning Division.Began a study of ceramic art with Mr. Ken Miyanohara.
1961-64

Taught at the Boston Museum school U.S.A.
Designer, Bennington Potters Co:, in Vermont.

1965-76 Director of Japan Designers and Craftmen Association.
1965-74 Member of the jury for Japan New Crafts Exhibition.
1968 Awarded Gold Medal at Concorso International de la Ceramica
de'Arte XXVl Faenza, Italy.
1970 Awarded Gold Prize at Sign Design.
1972-76 President of Japan Designers and Craftmen Association.
1973 Member of National Committee for International Design Conference Japan.(ICSID)
1974 Awarded Best Annual Prize of Interior Design of Japan.
1976-79 President of Japan Craft Design Association.
1977 Awarded Second Yoshida lsoya Memorial Prize.
1978 National Committee member to organize World Crafts Council conference in Japan and act as a chairman for Crafts and Architecture program.
1979 Guest speaker at International Crafts Conference at Rochester Institute of Technology, U.S.A.
